My client is looking for a bright and cheerful person who is able to communicate clearly and confidently to join their team as a driver/warehouse person.
The company is a leading distributor of bathrooms products with 30 suppliers, supplying bathroom showrooms throughout the South East. The company employs 50 people in total and delivers all orders from their own transport. They have an established reputation for service and reliability, of which they are justifiably proud.
As with all businesses it is the staff that form the character of the company and they are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person to join their balanced friendly and efficient team.
The successful candidate will be driving vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes (though predominantly transit vehicles), making between 15 – 40 drops per day dependant on journey. In time the successful candidate will have their own designated routes, and full training will be provided.
Previous driving experience within a professional capacity is advantageous though not essential, and applicants must have a full driving license and be over 21 for legal reasons.
The role will also involve helping out in the new warehouse on occasions.
This core working hours are 7.30 to 4.15, Monday to Friday, though on occasions the successful applicant may be required to work over time, which is paid in addition to the basic salary.
Basic initial starting salary is £14,500, though there may be a little flexibility for an outstanding candidate with relevant experience. However, with overtime the salary increases to £18k. The starting salary is reviewed within the first 2/3 months.
Staff are eligible to join the companies stakeholders scheme at 3 months and the companies full benefit package after 6 months including the group pension. Life insurance, long term incapacity insurance and private medical insurance.
