My client, a family owned company who are a leading manufacturer of high quality food, are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their friendly team based in Crawley.
The main purpose of the role is to provide a comprehensive and responsive maintenance and breakdown recoveru service across the range of production plant and equipment on the manufacturing site.
They are looking for an engineer who has a solid work background in electrical/mechanical engineering and who has served a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent.
Previous FMCG and packaging experience desired.
This person must have 16th Edition of the Electrical Installers Certificate and have PLC/Inverter/ wiring diagram experience.
This position operates on a rotating shift pattern, Monday- Friday, 6am – 2pm and 2pm to finish, but must be flexible to cover the needs of the business.
Wage £10 per hour plus 20% shift allowance. Overtime over 40 hours and at week-ends. (Approx £24.960 per annum).
Key responsibilities include:-
To use electrical/mechanical expertise on the adjustment, maintenance, care and improvement of the following key groups of plant:
Pasteurisers, Driers, Chillers and Conveyors
Mixers, sheeters and formers
Multihead weigher and bagging machinery
Tray form fill and seal packers
Labelling systems
Case sealing machines
Silo system.
Boilers and steam service equipment
Water and Air services
Ventilation
To provide a pro-active efficiency improvement to the manufacturing operation
