ACCOUNTANT (French Speaking) My Client is looking for a part qualified / Qualified Accountant who will have full ownership of the day-to-day and monthly tasks for both the UK and European accountancy functions of its company. The successful applicant will be either part qualified, qualified or qualified by experience and will have experience within a busy accounts department. As well as accountancy skills, this role will require a high level of French language skills, together with Team management and strong excel skills. The day to day responsibilities Include: Ensure supplier invoices are authorised, coded and input on a timely and accurate basis Make supplier payments online- Ensure bank transactions are input and accounts reconciled weekly Provide fortnightly Aged Debt breakdown to commercial team and follow up on debt collection Prepare weekly cashflow forecasts Month-end close and reporting- Complete month-end postings of accruals, prepayments and other journals for management reporting- Record payroll transactions, reconcile control accounts and submit related tax returns- Prepare and submit quarterly/monthly VAT returns.- Reconcile WIP and update project accounting records. Staff: responsibilities: Day-to-day management of AR & AP clerks based in Reading. Other responsibilities Liaison with local external auditors to ensure completion of local audits and statutory filings for relevant entities. Liaison with corporate auditors regarding preparation of consolidated group accounts.- There is also opportunity to get involved in a variety of system and process improvement projects as capacity allows. |
