JOB TITLE : Data Solutions Analyst LOCATION : East Grinstead PACKAGE : £25-32k pa (depending on experience) REPORTING RELATIONSHIP Reports to : Service Delivery Manager RESPONSIBILITES To ensure all client deliveries are on time and meet the requirements, regardless of the nature of such deliveries. These can be new data marts, extracts, updates, list loads, investigations, Change Requests, documentation etc To provide first and second line support to internal and external clients If there is a scheduling clash, you need to either decide on priorities with client business needs in mind or escalate to appropriate level with recommendations and timelines Primary duty is to deliver on time within the necessary constraints Any other reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Knowledge Experience of database management Knowledge of SQL server database application Client business requirements Clear understanding and experience in working with CRM and marketing programs Knowledge of Data Mining and Campaign Management applications Ability to Understand the client vision and company objectives Communicate technical detail clearly and concisely at all levels, both internally and externally Convey ideas and solutions in a technical and non-technical way Establish and maintain effective working relationships with client personnel, other departments and fellow employees COMPLEXITY AND CREATIVITY Making sure his/her deliveries add value to the client. This means having a good understanding of the clients business. Problem defining and solving skills must be at a high level and thinking on ones feet is order of the day. Most tasks are under a tight schedule, decisions are taken under pressure to meet that schedule. CONTACTS 80% Internal: Mostly with team members and company employees 20% External: Answering helpdesk call and attend client meetings PERSONAL SKILLS Ability to work with minimal supervision, using own initiative Willingness to work until the task is complete Good verbal and written communication skills Be able to complete duties on time whilst maintaining a high quality service Ability to work in a methodical and structured manner Must have a sense of humour, positive approach and work well within a team. Motivated, strong and level headed professional with excellent communication skills An individual who asks questions, listens to answers, defines problems, finds solutions Technical person who can identify the key issues and base decisions upon his/her understanding of client requirements A clear thinking person demonstrating attention to detail who is well organised and can operate independently A team player who can develop and maintain good relationships and gain the confidence of other professionals both internally and externally |
