My client is looking to recruit a Project Manager to define and plan multiple, concurrent business and IT projects and successfully manage them through the full project lifecycle. The successful applicant will have at least 3 years project management experience with proven experience of managing and successfully delivering both IT and business orientated projects. You will also have the ability to manage multiple and concurrent projects and have Good planning, prioritisation and organisational skills. You will be a Self motivated individual and a self-starter with the ability to proactively build working relationships with others, influence peers and stakeholders and have proven experience of using analysis and project methodologies. Ideally you would have an understanding of the Finance/ Banking industry and Prince 2 Certification or other recognised Project Management methodology but this is not essential. The day to day requirements: To ensure that projects are correctly scoped, and deliver the agreed functionality on time, within budget, and to agreed quality. To engage relevant representatives from Business Analysis, Development, Infrastructure, Testing and Business Units to ensure successful delivery of projects. To play an active role in the management and resolution of key issues and incidents across the business. To support and develop the Programme Management Office (PMO), whilst ensuring quality standards are met. To increase productivity through the successful delivery of projects and business change requests. Key Responsibilities: Business case development and cost approval. Preparation, support and management of strategic half-yearly business prioritisation reviews. High level business impact analysis and facilitation of decision making at the highest level. Investigation, documentation, and presentation of solutions and recommendations. Risk and Issues analysis/management. 3rd party supplier management. Produce Project Documentation, following the companys Project Methodology guidelines and obtaining the appropriate signoffs. Project planning and control, from initiation through to implementation and post-implementation activities. Resource management. Manage a number of small, concurrent projects and/or larger strategic projects. Facilitation of project meetings and accurately recording the important components. Management of key business issues/incidents, business change requests, emergency change requests and monthly releases. Management of the PMO and associated processes. Stakeholder engagement and facilitation of executive steering meetings. Programme/project monitoring and status reporting to senior management. |
