My client is seeking a Recruitment Consultant to recruit and attract candidates and matching them to vacancies within the IT industry. The successful Recruitment Consultant will be working closely with IT based companies, attracting candidates via advertisements, screening potential applicants, making recommendations to their clients and undertaking business development. The recruitment consultant will ideally have six months experience as a Recruitment Consultant and should be able to demonstrate interest in information technology. Business Development or Recruitment Sales experience is necessary.

The successful Recruitment Consultant will be IT proficient and know the industry well, ambitious and confident, creative, own the ability to meet deadlines and targets, have good problem solving techniques and the ability to work within a team environment. The recruitment consultant must also be able to handle multiple priorities, be able to cope with responsibility and high pressure, have good interpersonal and communication skills whilst being sales orientated.
Typical work activities will include:
 using sales, business development and marketing techniques in order to attract business from client companies;
 building relationships with clients;
 developing a good understanding of what client companies do and their work culture;
 advertising vacancies appropriately by drafting and placing adverts;
 Identifying and approaching suitable candidates;
 receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and short-listing candidates;
 arranging interviews for the right candidates with the clients;
 informing candidates about the results of their interviews;
 negotiating pay and salary rates and finalising arrangements between client and candidates;
 offering advice to both clients and candidates on pay rates, training and career progression; reviewing recruitment policies to ensure effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment programmes

£17,000 - £20,000 basic with an OTE of £30,000-£35,000
