Our client needs a new Credit Controller who should have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Credit Controller. You should be well versed at collecting outstanding debts with tact, diplomacy and great influencing skills. This is an exciting opportunity to join a very successful company in an integral role. My client sees a bright future for this Credit Controller; they are hoping that as the company grows, the new Credit Controller can grow with them. Main purpose of Job: To collect in all outstanding moneys due To manage credit risk for all companys that are given credit Areas of Responsibility: General overseeing of all aspects of credit control Oversee daily banking Sorting out of query invoices Key Activities: Issue/removal of credit limits on customer accounts based on limits set by our credit insurance company Chase overdue moneys owed on account Liaise with our Credit insurance company on overdue accounts Submit claims on non collectable debts to our Credit Insurer Arrangement of payment plans for customers with cash flow problems Setting deadlines for cash collections Monitoring of bad debt Negotiation of finance packages with customers when we are unable to give credit and they cannot pay in advance Report to FD on any problem accounts Performance Standards (related to activities): Meet and exceed the objectives set by the Financial Director Demonstrate an understanding of our overall strategy as well as the objectives for the Credit Control Team To maintain the levels of debt collection the company has enjoyed to date Develop and grow long term relationships with designated key resellers To keep a log of any customer complaints and to advise the management of action taken Meet performance dead lines and objectives To follow through all training opportunities provided by us Skills necessary to be effective: Numeracy Skills Pc/Computer Skills Organisational Planning Record keeping Time Management Relationship management Negotiation Objection handling Influencing others Self motivation Ability to work in a team and interact with others |
