Recovery/Anaesthetic Practitioner Full time and Part time available JOB PURPOSE To provide exemplary planned care for patients within the perioperative and assist in the management and organisation of care provision in the operating theatre. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES Assess patients health and well being across a complex and changing caseload Assist in the delivery of care to meet patients health and wellbeing Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others Promotes best practice in health and safety and security Assist in maintaining and developing services Contribute to quality improvement Promote peoples equality, diversity and rights Apply technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment THE PERSON ESSENTIALS: Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner Experience of working in teams with minimum supervision Experience of working in a caring role Competence across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration/practitioner qualification and additional training Possess the mandatory training requirements for role including infection control and health and safety competencies Be able to demonstrate the principles of accountable practice Possess Equipment and Medical Devices Competences NMC or HPC registration and regulation English language skills to IELTS 7.0 DESIRABLES: Working towards post registration qualification in perioperative practice (nurse) Working towards post registration qualification in clinical specialism (ODP) Competence across a range of perioperative skills supported by professional and clinical knowledge Continuing professional development Trained on MS Office and other relevant packages Root cause analysis SALARY/BENEFITS AND HOURS: £21,000 - £28,000 PA depending on experience 25 days holiday, plus 1 extra day to be taken at Christmas time Private medical cover Wellness screening, eyesight tests Pension, bonus, life assurance Subsidised meals, transport season ticket loans Free parking Childcare voucher scheme Full time hours 37.5 Monday to Saturday Part time hours 22.5 or 30 hours per week Flexibility with shifts and days you work is essential |
