£70,000 - £130,000 DOEXEC90 permanent position | My client is looking for a Sales Director to head up their Day to day direction, management and motivational leadership of the Finance & Commercial Lines Insurance sales department.Responsible for contributing to and implementing the strategic sales plan for the Commercial Lines business you will be Proactive in the identification and conversion of new brokers, managing the relationship with and retaining existing brokers in order to achieve volume and sales targets. Whilst Insurance sales experience is not essential you will need to have Financial Services/Banking Sales experience and be used to heading up a team of 12-20 Managers. You will need to: •Provide leadership and management of the Regional, Field and Account Management teams and all departmental sales staff .•To draft, obtain approval for and implement a business acquisition strategy to achieve targets and implement plans to increase penetration and grow the existing sales book.•To assess current market/broker needs, offer new product ideas and assist in the development of these products•To take responsibility for key business partner relationships and maximize their true business potential using a focused “joint”strategy•To deputise for the Commercial Lines Director in his/her absence•To monitor the success of strategies and proposals and report progress and results regularly and accurately to the Commercial Lines Director (and the Board)•Report monthly or as required, to the Commercial Lines Director on progress against plan, in addition, report on competitive market information/situation•To manage and develop the senior managers of the sales teams•To evaluate potential strategic alliances within the industry, analyse long-term implications and give recommendations•Identify and attend appropriate corporate events and workshops to aid new business acquisition•Work with the Commercial Operations and Credit Control managers to optimize service to brokers, clients and business partners. •Work with and share, broker and competitor information with the Specialist Personal Lines sales team. •Maintain companies compliance with all applicable regulations; this includes ensuring that they are compliant with the principles of Treating Customers Fairly.Competencies/Skills/Experience:• Financial Services / Banking background• Driving Performance• Competitive Intelligence• Managing Relationships• Selling skills• Negotiation• Customer Focus• Embracing change• Judgement, decision making and problem solving• Influencing • Strategic leadership • Presentation skills• Full driving licence• Educated to degree level/ equivalent |
