I currently have a vacancy for an Accountant with a prestigious automotive client in the London area. The successful candidate will ideally be ACCA or CIMA qualified but they will be open to QBE’s.
Knowledge of the Motor industry will be an advantage but not essential. Competent computer skills using Microsoft Excel, proven people management skills including development of self and others are essential.
Key roles:
• To control the integrity of financial and non-financial KPI reporting for the branch.
• Produce monthly Management Accounts for the branch.
• Ensure that the year end timetable is adhered to, that all year end accounts and packs are accurate and prepared in time for all audit requirements.
• Ensure preparation of support documentation to the management accounts.
• Maintain company balance sheet ensuring control of all assets through full reconciliations.
• Preparation of weekly financial forecasts and annual budgets.
• Responsibility for the control environment around all accounting and cash handling activities.
• To ensure the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley are met by the business and that all company financial controls are adhered to.
• Be an integral part of the Branch Management Team providing pro-active feedback and steering of performance to achieve planned results.
• Provide guidance and assist the Dealer Principal and Line Managers in enhancing financial controls, reducing risk and improving profitability within the business.
• Ensure preparation of relevant management information for monthly performance reviews.
• Manage and supervise the Sales and Accounts Administration Team in the maintenance of processes for the Site.
• Support Head Office Human Resources team with local personnel and payroll administration.
• Ensure adherence to VAT/tax regulations and submissions to deadlines.
• To be involved and participate in periodic “best practice” groups.
• Manage financial and company standards and controls to minimise the risk to the business. Maintain records for and manage all contractual relationships.
• Ensure that within their area of operation all Company and Trade Associations policies, procedures and minimum standards are met and that all statutory requirements including trading standards, fire, health and safety are adhered to.
