My Client needs a new Quality Control Engineer. You will need to have been a quality Control Engineer previously and ideally in your capacity as a quality control engineer you would have been and working toward ISO 9000: 2000 and ISO13485:2003. You will be responsible for maintaining quality from the production line and indeed making sure that all produced products adhere to the relevant standards. Performance Measures • Participation in reduction of scrap levels to minimal costs. • Preparation of Inspection reports. • Design and maintenance of inspection records. • Design and maintenance of inspection and test procedures. • Patrol Inspection and assembly support. • Reduction of non conforming items • Efficiency & Accuracy • Assisting & Supporting the Quality Manager • Performing Internal Audits Core Competencies • Able to read and interpret electro/mechanical drawings. • Product knowledge. • Use of measuring instruments e.g. micrometer and vernier etc. • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000, ISO 13485:2003, MDD & FDA regulations • Communication skills – both oral and written. • Computer literate. • Ability to deputise for the Quality Manager on QC matters. • Flexibility and willingness to perform new tasks or routines Key Tasks • First off inspection – pre production and random machine/mould/production line checks. • Production on-line inspection, both mechanically and aesthetically. • Authority to stop batch/line production pending investigation of quality issues/non-conforming product. • Design, introduction and maintenance of all necessary paperwork and inspection records, including scrap, as required. • Use of test equipment, both electronic and mechanical. • Plan workload in line with production requirements in liaison with area supervisors. • Adhere to normal company procedures in line with good manufacturing and engineering practices. • Improvement/reduction in reject/scrap levels. • Keeping the Quality Manager and other senior managers informed of the status of the Quality control systems adherence to regulations. |
